Internship Program

For most of us, Summer brings to mind thoughts of fun in the sun, the great outdoors, and time to recharge but it also marks the annual kickoff to the Prime 8 Summer Internship Program!

Each year Prime 8 hand-selects current college students from a competitive applicant pool, to join our program for the Summer. The Prime 8 Internship Program provides an opportunity for these students to acquire hands-on business experience, build quality relationships in our industry, and to infuse Prime 8 with their fresh perspectives and enthusiasm!  

Cultivating a community of individuals who are excellent collaborators is what we do best - so it only follows that those interns participating in the program are challenged and encouraged to collaborate with the broader Prime 8 family as well as fellow interns. Prime 8 expects and cultivates a level of quality, efficiency, and discipline in our interns which ultimately helps launch these students into the professional world, sets them up for success, and sets them apart from their cohort.  Our interns report directly to leaders in our various functional areas, giving them valuable mentoring and the direct access to subject matter expertise on a daily basis. Our Prime 8 leaders and mentors welcome the intern experience and are enthusiastic about helping our interns set and achieve goals, and about encouraging and guiding them to produce high-caliber deliverables along the way.

For Prime 8, welcoming interns into our world is a valuable way to gain new perspective and see things with a fresh a set of eyes -  bringing early career stage ideas and viewpoints to the forefront of our strategic planning.  Ultimately, the feedback from interns throughout their time at Prime 8 helps us grow and strengthens our company culture.   

Past internship projects have ranged from environmental assessments and competitive research to process improvement and taking charge of a key components of Prime 8’s modern marketing initiative. Some past interns have even gone on to become full time members of the Prime 8 family.  Interns have shared that this program provides them insightful knowledge of business beyond what is taught to them in the classroom - insights and challenges as well as an increased confidence in public speaking and working with people at all levels of an organization. By providing a space where interns feel safe to explore their potential professions, where no question is too silly, where they can try theories and test boundaries, learn and have fun at the same time is what is appreciated by the participants of this program.
